About

Our History

Over forty years ago, Rosemary Burke and Charlie Campise had a dream to help the foster children of Texas. Burke Center for Youth was opened in 1973 as a residential treatment center at Driftwood Ranch in Driftwood, Texas. Rosemary’s dream grew twenty years later, and Burke Center expanded to include the Child Placement and Adoption Agency with 5 locations around the state. In 2016, Burke Center Transition Homes became the third branch in our organization.

Our Mission

Burke Center for Youth strives to promote healing and inspire hope for children in crisis.
Our Vision

All children deserve a safe and supportive environment in which to flourish. Through therapeutic treatment, foster care, and adoption or reunification, our ultimate goal is to help children rebuild their lives in a manner that will break the cycle of abuse and give them the tools necessary to flourish.
